HYAKUNIN ISSHU ANTHOLOGY IN TEA BOWLS Special Exhibition

To celebrate the picturesque world of Hyakunin Isshu (classical Japanese anthology of one hundred poems by one hundred poets), we present a remarkable exhibition of 100 matcha tea bowls with the design of the scenes from its verses.
We hope you will enjoy our selection of other “poetic” items as well: karuta (playing cards based on the Hyakunin Isshu) and other traditional games of the Imperial court, instruments for gagaku (traditional court music), costumes and much more.
